Why Education Businesses Work With Us

Independent schools, language providers and EdTech businesses are all competing for the same pool of specialist subject teachers, curriculum designers and academic leaders. For many, international recruitment is not about filling gaps. It is about finding people with the specific expertise their programmes require.

Education sector sponsorship has its own complications: Ofsted and ISI registration, QTS questions, DBS obligations and, for institutions that also enrol international students, a separate regulatory track entirely. We operate in corporate immigration and handle Skilled Worker sponsorship for educational businesses of all sizes.

What Education Sponsors Get Wrong

These are the areas UKVI focuses on most when visiting education businesses. Getting them right before you start is considerably easier than fixing them after a visit.

⚠️

Private language schools and unaccredited education providers receive particularly close UKVI scrutiny. A clear Ofsted registration, transparent curriculum and demonstrable student enrolment activity significantly strengthen the sponsor application. We advise on how to present your business in the best honest light.

Questions We Hear Most From Education Businesses

Independent schools are not legally required to employ QTS-qualified teachers. UKVI does expect roles to be genuine and candidates to have appropriate qualifications. We advise on how to document overseas qualification equivalency correctly.
The overseas police certificate is part of the visa application rather than the CoS process. It must be obtained before the visa can be granted. We factor this into the timeline at the planning stage.
Yes. A sponsor licence covers all eligible Skilled Worker roles within your business including technical, operational and educational roles. You do not need to be a school to hold one.
Only if you enrol international students. Worker and Student sponsor licences are separate applications with different requirements. ACG handles Worker sponsorship. We can refer you to a specialist if you also need Student sponsor registration.
